How to take Aciphex

To counter the aggravation of peptic ulcer medication should be taken 20 mg per day, preferably in the morning before eating. The treatment should continue 4-6 weeks, and may increase by 4 weeks, if it is necessary.

In case of reflux disease you should start taking the medicine from 20 mg per day, and after elimination of acute symptoms the dosage should be reduced to 10 mg.

When you treating helicobacteriosis, manual instruction recommends taking drug Aciphex for 7 days. Take this medicine 20 mg twice a day. To increase the effectiveness of therapy antibiotic agents can be taken in parallel.

Contraindications of Aciphex

Refuse reception of this medicine in case of malignant tumors in the stomach, and intolerance to medication components. Pregnant women, nursing mothers, as well as kids in infancy definitely shouldn’t take Aciphex.

Side effects

Digestive system: diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, flatulence, constipation; rarely – dry mouth, dyspepsia, belching; in rare cases – anorexia, gastritis, stomatitis, increased hepatic transaminases.

Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia; rarely – nervousness, somnolence; in rare cases – depression, blurred vision and taste sensations.

Respiratory system: possible – rhinitis, pharyngitis, cough; rarely – sinusitis, bronchitis.

Allergic reactions: seldom – skin rash; in rare cases – itching.

Other: back pain, flu- like symptoms; rarely – myalgia, chest pain, fever, calf cramps, urinary tract infection, arthralgia; in rare cases – weight gain, increased sweating, leukocytosis.
