Restoril

The principal mechanism of sleeping effect is the depression of cells of reticular formation of the brain stem. Restoril reduces the impact of emotional, vegetative and motor stimuli, distorting the mechanism of falling asleep. The direct inhibition of motor nerves and muscle function is also possible. The drug has little impact on the productive symptoms of psychotic genesis (acute delusional, hallucinatory and affective disorders), rarely observed reduction of emotional tension and delusional disorders. Restoril improves mood, relieves falling asleep and increases appetite. It is effective in treatment of cardialgia and headache of neurotic genesis.
